If you believe that DET has breached your privacy you may lodge a complaint (word 49Kb) with Information Services.
If you need assistance in detailing / making a complaint or want to discuss your privacy issue before deciding whether to make a complaint, please contact Information Services.
What will DET do when you make a privacy complaint?
DET will acknowledge receipt of your complaint. Following this we will investigate your complaint in accordance with our Privacy Complaints Guidelines (pdf 26Kb) and try to provide you with a response within 30 days. If we are unable to provide you with a response within this timeframe we will contact you and keep you informed of our progress.
Once a decision is made regarding your complaint, you will be informed of the decision and the reasons for the decision in writing. We will also inform you of your rights if you are not satisfied with the decision.
