Assessment results

The NT Multilevel Assessment Program (MAP) assesses Years 3, 5 and 7 students in English literacy and numeracy. Similar assessments are conducted each year in all other States and Territories.

The results enable comparison of NT student achievement in 2007 with the national results from 2006.

This will be the last release of NT MAP results as the NT test will be replaced this year by the new National Assessment Program for all Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 students throughout Australia. This will be the first year that all Year 9 students will be tested.

The table below summarises NT School results and shows comparable national achievement rates.
