Rosebery schools settle on vibrant logos

The natural environment has helped inspire design work for the Rosebery schools logos.

Parents and students have given unanimous support for the newly-designed logos for the two new Rosebery schools.

Both designs draw inspiration from the abundant animal and plant life in Mitchell Creek, which flows past the Rosebery site connecting Palmerston with the ocean.

Rosebery Primary School’s logo features a stylised turtle. Resilient, adaptable and symbolic of a healthy environment, juvenile turtles stay close to water but become capable of traversing vast distances when mature. This corresponds with young resilient students thriving in a vibrant and strong community and expanding their horizons as they grow.

The river in Rosebery Middle School’s logo is also a metaphor rich in meaning. It represents the exciting journey of discovery that students will undertake at the new school, a channel through which the school community connects to the outside world, and it symbolises a source of flowing energy, life and a future laden with potential.
