These videos showcase some of the reforms being implemented across schools, regions and sectors under the Smarter Schools National Partnerships (SSNP). The videos highlight some of the reforms that are funded under the four SSNP in the Northern Territory - Low Socio-Economic School Communities, Literacy and Numeracy, Improving Teacher Quality and Closing the Gap National Partnerships.
Strategies for delivering positive educational outcomes for the students vary to meet the individual needs of the schools and local communities.

Manunda Terrace Primary School Manunda Terrace Primary School has 48% of students at the school identifying as Indigenous, with 40% English as a second language learners. The school is addressing barriers to education through the employment of local Indigenous people to engage the community in the school and to provide support programs for students. Ngakawurra Langwa College Ngakawurra Langwa College consists of four campuses (Alyangula, Angurugu, Milyakburra and Umbakumba schools) and is a pilot site for the Strong Start Bright Future initiative. The college has a strong focus on working in partnership with local industry and the community. Through the 3-9 programs, the community is re-engaging with lifelong learning and attitudes are changing to schooling which is seeing an improvement in student attendance and outcomes. The school is part of the Engaging Remote Indigenous Students (ERIS) initiative which supports the school and the community to work in partnership to deliver sustainable and successful education and life outcomes for students. Additionally the school is participating in the Grow Our Own program which assists Indigenous community members to obtain education qualifications to progress their career in education. Yipirinya School Yipirinya School in an independent non-government school located in Alice Springs that caters for Indigenous students living in town camps and outstations throughout Alice Springs. The school is addressing barriers to education to assist to improve attendance as well as implement a literacy program in the school that is based from stories of local Indigenous elders. Residential Care Workers Projects The Residential Care Workers Project was developed to enhance the capacity and the quality of student care workers/house parents in six Northern Territory boarding colleges. A project coordinator was employed to oversee the three stages of the project that is assisting in the recruitment and the professional learning given to student care workers/houseparents. The Cultural Coordinator has developed a cultural program that provides students with the opportunity to learn about bush tucker and other traditional practices, as well as allow students to share their own cultural heritage. Gray Primary School Gray Primary School is engaging students through involving families in education. The school uses an Aboriginal Indigenous Education Worker to engage parents to become more comfortable with the school environment and further promote the importance of their children attending school every day.
